From Photo to Final Painting 4- Controlling Mixes and Using Color With Intent

$150.00

This is the 4th in a series of 4 live zoom workshops. Sunday, Nov 3rd, 9am- 4pm PST.

In the morning, I'll introduce the Artist's Color Wheel and the concept of Navigating the Color Wheel. Applying these, we'll use hands-on activities to explore a simple mental framework that can help you better control your mixes- what I call the Rubberband Method.

Next, we'll unpack some of Johannes Itten's "7 Color Contrasts". These provide a very applicable framework for thinking about color and how we can apply it in context and for effect.

With all that in hand, we'll dig into painting, practicing our mixing skills, and consciously choosing color for effect.

This class is intended to amplify and work in conjunction with the free October Notan Challenge. I will be painting with a full watercolor palette for this class.
