From Photo to Final Painting 1- Abstracts and Composition!

In this media agnostic class, we'll be working with black and white paper compositions for quick shape-play and rearrangement.
Many paintings fail before they even begin because the composition is lacking. Let's take a day to learn about "shape arrangement" (aka Composition) through experimentation. We'll start with building abstracts, and move in to decoding masterworks and reference photos.
Your goal, should you choose to accept it, is to reserve judgment and learn through play in a supportive environment. Composition is the root of so much more. This class provides a great opportunity to rearrange some of your thinking, get guidance, and practice the nuts and bolts of shape building, guiding the eye, and getting acquainted with what I call "the secret language of seeing".
