“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

A Meeting of the Minds
Creating commissioned art is a collaborative process. Finding subjects that speak to both of us is the first requirement for a successful relationship. I am only interested in painting subjects that excite and inspire everyone involved, myself included.

The Process
Commissions involve a graduated sequence of meetings. The goal is to avoid “surprises” and aim for clarity early in the process. This is best for everyone! :)
First, we meet (in person or online) to go over details, set a timeline, and assess potential subjects. Later, we will meet again after I’ve made a small preliminary painting. This is when I receive your feedback. Finally, the completed painting itself is delivered.

Logistics and Costs
After we agree on details and a subject, I’ll ask for a non-refundable percentage up front to begin work. Larger commissions have 3 payments. Smaller commissions generally have 2. Commissions have a 10% surcharge over listed prices. We can discuss the details.
Preliminary paintings are not included in the purchase. Shipping and tax are additional fees. Depending on where you live, I can also deliver them in person- that’s fun!
