Upcoming Zoom Class on Notans, 11/13 and 11/14

I have an upcoming Zoom class through the Mendocino Art Center, and wanted to announce it here. It’s an introduction to Notans, and is a weekend class. The format for this class will be a little different, as instruction will run from 10-3 each day, with a break in the middle. This should allow for shorter, more digestible blocks of time at the computer.

We’ll be focusing on notans, how they’re useful for us, and how to build them. Lots of time focused on simplifying our compositions and seeing the bigger forms, building “contextual” contrast, working on a balance of values, etc. You can find out the details and sign up here-
