47th Annual CWA Show this Saturday

Hi all.  If you're a local to the Bay Area, the opening reception for the California Watercolor Association’s 47th Annual Show will be held this Saturday from 100-300, January 14th, at the Harrington Firehouse Gallery in Pleasanton.

My painting, titled “Kalihiwai Sunrise”, was one of approximately 80 selected paintings, from over 750 submissions.  I'm very excited to get to participate.  :)  This is the same painting that was the step-by-step focal point of my recent article in The Art of Watercolor #24.  For those who are interested, it will, as always, be for sale.  ;)

Additionally, I'llbe doing a free watercolor demo at the Firehouse gallery on Wednesday February 1st, from 1230-330.  So, if you're interested in picking my brain or seeing me paint, it's a great opportunity to come and chat and learn!  :)

The 47th CWA show runs from January 14 to February 25, and the gallery is generally open Wed-Fri, 12-5, and Sat 11-3.  The Firehouse Gallery is located at 4444 Railroad Ave, Pleasanton, CA 94566.  You can find more info on at www.firehousearts.org/gallery/

We hope to see you there!
