Save the Date- New Hybrid Art Sale Coming This Week!

forest shadows, mendocino, 11” x 15”

Yuba pass meadow, 11”x15”

After almost 7 years being a member, I will be leaving the Benicia Plein Air Gallery at the end of May. I’ve decided that, despite the fun I’ve had there, my (seemingly too scarce!) time would be better spent elsewhere— namely, with family. With my mom, my kiddo, and my two nieces, while they are still at home and in high school. Soon enough, things will change again!

However, before I ride into the sunset from the gallery, I’m going to have one final month-long show for your viewing pleasure, entitled “Windows”! This will be a hybrid show- so I’ll be showing work at the gallery and also offering it for sale here, on my website. Even better, for the first time in over 5 years I’ll be offering a sale on all work- a 20% discount, whether you buy it in person or online!

Through the Canvas-

yosemite winter, 8”x8”

spanish guitar, 8”x8”

Each little painting is a peak into a moment. A bit of magic on the wall. That’s how I think of the artwork I buy and hang on my own walls. Each is like a portal, that moves me through time and space, through the artist’s lens. Almost as if I could pass through the canvas, and listen to the wind or the shushing of grass, smell the leaves, feel the heat.

“Windows” will feature a lot of work from the last year. I’ll have over 20 framed pieces available for purchase at the gallery itself, as well as many unframed pieces in sleeves at a lower price. When I’m sitting, I’ll bring in additional work, and should have over 30 pieces for you to consider! There will be many 8x8 pieces from last year’s “100 paintings in a 100 days” challenge, plein air work from the Sierra Nevada last summer and the Mendocino coast last fall, as well as new larger studio work (22” x 30”) from this winter that was part of my “California Dreamin’” show in Alameda.

Pricing will range from as low as 200$ up to 1250$.

When and Where-

Sebastapol vineyards, 30x22

at the feet of giants, stout grove, 22x30

The show will open at the gallery this Friday, May 5th and run through Sunday, May 28th. The Benicia Plein Air Gallery is open 11-5, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and is located at 307 1st Street, Benicia.

I’ll personally be manning the gallery Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and 7th, as well as Friday and Saturday, May 12th and 13th. And when I do, I’ll be bringing in special additional work of mine- framed pieces, sketches, unframed work, etc. If you’re local, come in and visit! I love talking shop, and am happy to answer any questions you might have. :)

We’re even going to have an old-fashioned, in person, live reception is Saturday May 6th, 3-5 pm. Yay! I’m honestly looking forward to it, with the same old mix of excitement and trepidation. :P

Online Store Experience-

navarro beach waves, 11x15

winter harvest, 15”x11”

To have early access to the store during the first weekend, you need to be a subscriber to my special Art Collectors List. If you haven’t done so, follow this link to sign up. Art Collectors get special privileges— for example, subscribers actually get access to the show extra early- even before it opens to the public at the gallery on Friday the 5th.

After the first weekend, I’ll open up the online store to the public for the duration of May. But once a painting is gone… it’s gone!

Also, all paintings sold online are sold frameless. I’ll be shipping them rolled in a protective tub. Only paintings purchased in person are sold framed. For an additional fee, I’ll even ship internationally. Contact me if you’re interested.
