I have fun news to share. I’ll be participating in the Sonoma Plein Air Festival this year! After applying (and not getting in) for a number of years in a row, last year I got in— only to have the event canceled. But folks are marching ahead with caution, and the event is going forward this year. I’m very excited! Follow the link below to read more about it and watch a little video in the banner—

I’ll be painting the week of September 6th all around Sonoma and Marin counties, probably at Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, and some new places I’m checking out in Sonoma county too. On Saturday, the 11th, from 10-4, the festival will be in the Sonoma Square, where we’ll all have our work for sale. Each of us gets a set of 3 panels (front and back) to share our work. Most artists bring studio pieces to sell as well. So, there should be a lot of really superb art up for perusing. I anticipate having 15+ total pieces up myself, either painted plein air during the week, or new work from 2021, like these—

The event is covid compliant. That means they’ll be spacing out all the different artists areas, and that masks are recommended, but not required, as it outdoors.

There are many many excellent artists participating, quite a few “local luminaries”, and some artists I don’t know who are clearly from farther away.
