Back in June, I did a live zoom demo for the California Watercolor Association. At the time, it was an event exclusive to members, but they’ve graciously uploaded it to Youtube, so I’m providing it here. :)

It’s of a little morning scene in Mendocino. You pass it on Highway 1, on the way into town. Here you can see my reference photo and the notan I did ahead of time. The notans help make the design clear and force me to resolve contrast-based problems ahead of time. Then come the big washes— note how I keep the blue and yellow separated with a little dry highlight on the edge of the roof. This helps speed things along. If you have any questions, please ask away!
